About me

Set FREE from Addiction

Today I am set free from addiction, today I am free from mental health issues, labels I grew up with, today I am restored, and I truly love myself within. You too can be set free! It all comes from within. Here is my story.

I was born in Johnson City Tennessee. My dad left my mom when i was about 6 months old. I grew up without a father. My mom was amazing, and always made sure I had what my brother and I needed. However I always craved a positive male role model in my life. I feel as though some of my problems stem from not having that type of role model in my life. Although, today I don't place any blame on my father. Life is short, and love is always the answer. My father is an amazing person, we all go through things. If anything would have been different, I might not be as strong of a woman as I am today. 


I grew up as the black sheep in my family, I know the familiarity all to well. Feeling worthless, and like I didn't belong. Not knowing who I was the least bit. Diagnoses after diagnoses between the ages of 13-17 anything from Bipolar, to Borderline Personality Disorder. Feeling like i needed a way to escape, I started experimenting with drugs. First it was weed and alcohol. I was beginning to realize how good it felt to numb out my pain. Not only was I experimenting with drugs, I was a "cutter", I felt relief after I cut into myself, and I was diagnosed with Bulimia. I was a complete lost mess.

My 20's are full of regrets, felonies, harder drugs, clean time in only in rehabs, jail time, and lots and lots of failed relationships.

The ending of another failed relationship rolled around, this time I had the fun experience of dating a narcissist. This man turned me into an emotional roller coaster! I had let him destroy every shred of self esteem I ever had. At the end of that relationship, It had left me completely broken, drained, and hopeless. I needed a change. I knew my mom had my children in a more stable environment then I could manage at that point. So off to California with a friend of mine I went. I needed to escape, everything I had known, and everything around me had turned to turmoil. 


I moved away with 100 bucks in my pocket, now on my journey to California. At first I was just managing and meeting my needs. I didn't have direction or any guidance. Me and my friend eventually parted ways, and I had made it to San Diego. I was introduced to yoga in October 2016, from a woman and her boyfriend, that just happened to be passing through Ocean Beach at the time. We still talk and are friends to this day.


 What's so amazing about the practice of yoga? Yoga peels away the ego and reveals the true self. Living your truth, connecting to your body, and your breath. Creating a sense of awareness, and calming the noise from the outside world. Which then creates focus, stretching intensely balances the Chakras.

We store emotions in our body. Stretching the body, lets all the negative energies out, and allows you to start fresh. Becoming reborn again. Following the yoga sutras, and incorporating them in my practice. I started eliminating the bad out of my life. Slowly but surely, I was healing myself. I was restoring my mind, body and soul. In April 2017, I became a RYT200 Certified Yoga Instructor at Reach Yoga in Pacific Beach San Diego, California. 

I teach restorative, yin,  vinyasa flow, guided meditation, and have experience in Thai massage as well.

I have taught at programs such as Doors of Change in Ocean Beach , as well as my own class at the beach, in Ocean Beach.

I strongly believe that yoga helped me save my life.


 My goal now is to teach healing/ restorative yoga, and teach others how important it is to take care of the body, how to feel the best, becoming the best version of ones self, beating the symptoms of mental health illnesses, addictions, trauma from co-dependency relationships, childhood trauma, teaching others how to start their own self practice, and practicing self love.
